GT40 60th Reunion 2024 — Celebrating a Le Mans Legend Through Art
Invited to participate in one of the most remarkable gatherings of Ford GT40s and Ford GTs, I created an original three-piece artwork celebrating Ford's legendary victories at Le Mans.

There are few cars in automotive history with a story as powerful as the Ford GT40.
In 2024, I had the privilege of being invited to participate as an automotive artist in the GT40 60th Reunion, held during the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Historics at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Pennsylvania.
The event celebrated the 60th anniversary of the GT40, bringing together an extraordinary collection of original race cars, recreations and modern Ford GTs for a unique weekend dedicated to one of the greatest icons in motorsport history.
For JCARCUSTOM, it was the perfect opportunity to create an artwork inspired by the story that made the GT40 legendary.

60 Years of the Ford GT40
The Ford GT40 first raced in 1964, beginning a motorsport story that would eventually become inseparable from the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
To celebrate the car's 60th anniversary, the GT40 Reunion joined the historic racing weekend of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix from July 26–28, 2024.
Throughout the weekend, enthusiasts had the rare opportunity to see GT40s not only displayed together, but also running on track.
The official event included dedicated GT40 track sessions and a featured race, bringing the sound and presence of these legendary machines back to a racing environment.
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix later described the reunion as one of the highlights of its 42nd edition, with GT40s participating in track activities alongside a much larger historic racing program.

Creating the Ford GT Reunion Artwork
My participation in the Ford GT Reunion went beyond exhibiting an original painting.
I also had the opportunity to create original artwork specifically for the Ford GT Reunion, which was used in the event's promotional material and featured on shirts created for Reunion members.
Seeing my artwork become part of the visual identity of such a unique gathering — and being worn by Ford GT enthusiasts throughout the event — made this collaboration especially meaningful.
It was another way for JCARCUSTOM to become part of the celebration, connecting automotive art with the history and community surrounding the Ford GT.

Three Pieces, One Ford GT
For this special event, I created an original three-piece painting inspired by Ford's legendary history at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Each section represents a different Le Mans-winning Ford GT, with its own identity and racing history. When the three canvases are placed together, however, the compositions connect to create the silhouette of one complete Ford GT.
The concept was simple: different cars, different victories and different chapters of motorsport history coming together to represent a single legacy.
The artwork was created specifically for the GT40 60th Reunion and exhibited during the event, surrounded by the cars and enthusiasts that inspired it.
The Original Artwork Is Available
After being exhibited at the GT40 60th Reunion, the original three-piece artwork returned to the JCARCUSTOM Studio in Brazil, where it is currently available for acquisition.
